Prairie Vista Park

Prairie Vista Park is a 3-acre open space park located in Greenwood Village. Root Partnership worked closely with the client, HOA Board, a Prairie Management Consultant, and Landscape Maintenance managers to create a re-naturalized open space park that included walking trails, interpretative signage, and a playground. A large component of this project was community outreach to receive input about the design of the park, as well as education on creating a native and sustainable open space park. We designed a custom-tailored, all native species prairie grass seed mix that will provide cover, habitat, and food sources for the native wildlife.  We also designed a Native Prairie Garden with signage to educate surrounding homeowners on plant species and why the particular plant species are so important. We oversaw the construction of the park and worked closely with the landscape contractor and The Cherry Creek Vista Park and Recreation District to be sure the park was installed according to the plans.
